We do not receive or store your Apple or Google account password.

If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we may receive a private relay email address generated by Apple.

This account information is stored securely on our backend systems.

3.2 Audio Recordings (Processed Locally)

When you use the microphone feature in the App, your voice input is processed temporarily on your device to generate a transcript.

Audio recordings are not stored on our servers and are not transmitted to StyleNote AI's backend systems.

3.3 Transcripts and Styled Notes

Your transcripts, summaries, and styled notes are stored locally on your device.

StyleNote AI does not store your notes, transcripts, or audio recordings on its servers.

3.4 Content Sent for AI Processing

If you use style transformation or summarization features, selected text content may be transmitted to our third-party AI provider (OpenAI) solely for the purpose of generating the requested output.

  • Only text content is transmitted.
  • Audio recordings are not sent.
  • We do not use your content for advertising.
  • We do not sell your content.

Processing by OpenAI is governed by OpenAI's applicable privacy and data processing terms.

3.5 Payments

All subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple processes billing information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

3.6 Communications

If you contact us at info@stylenote.app, we will process your email address and any information you include in your message in order to respond to your inquiry.

4. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your Personal Information only for the purposes described below and only to the extent necessary to provide the Services.

We process Personal Information based on the following legal grounds, where applicable:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the Services);
  • Compliance with legal obligations;
  • Our legitimate interests (such as ensuring security and preventing abuse);

4.1 To Create and Maintain Your Account

  • Authenticate you securely

4.2 To Provide AI-Powered Features

If you use style transformation or summarization features, selected text content may be transmitted to our AI processing service, which integrates with OpenAI, for the sole purpose of generating the requested output.

We use this information only to:

  • Generate styled notes
  • Create summaries
  • Provide AI-generated text outputs requested by you

We do not use your content to train our own AI models.

4.3 To Process Payments

We use account-related information to verify subscription status and enable premium features.

All payments are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not process or store payment card information.

5.2 AI Service Provider (OpenAI)

When you use style transformation or summarization features, selected text content is transmitted to our AI processing service, which integrates with OpenAI, for the sole purpose of generating the requested output.

We share only the text content necessary to process your request.

Audio recordings are not transmitted.

OpenAI processes such data in accordance with its applicable privacy policy and data processing terms.

We do not use your content to train our own artificial intelligence models.

5.3 Backend and Infrastructure Providers

We use Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to host and maintain account-related information (such as your name, email address, and authentication provider ID).

Google Cloud processes Personal Information solely on our behalf and under contractual obligations designed to protect your data.

We also use secure backend services to facilitate communication with our AI processing provider.

We do not store transcripts, notes, or audio recordings on our servers.

5.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose Personal Information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation
  • Enforce our Terms of Service
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Services

Please note that transcripts, styled notes, and audio recordings are stored locally on your device and are not stored on our servers. Deleting the App will remove locally stored content from your device.

In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we restrict processing of your Personal Information or object to our processing.

Because StyleNote AI does not use Personal Information for advertising or direct marketing, this right will generally apply only to account-related processing.

You have the right to receive the Personal Information you have provided to us (such as your name and email address) in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to request that we transfer it to another provider where technically feasible.
